SHOP...SHOP...SHOPPING- MY PASSION

Dear Friends,

I had written this in 2009 and had saved it in Drafts, hoping I would add more later. Then apparently I forgot. Today I realized that this was still lying in my Drafts and publishing now as it is. Thanks  friends for reading. 

This post may be purely a Femina kind of tips, but gents can peep into this to get some good ideas :-)

Shopping is the most interesting thing in everyone's life. But before shopping and after shopping there are many rules and regulations which has to be followed to make this event a successful one.

First and foremost is the preparation of shopping list. Don't imagine yourself as "Idhayam Nallennai Jyothika'' (watch that ad for further details). Devote more time in writing the list. Open all the cupboards and look into the nook and corner of the house before writing the list. Suppose if u have green mug in your toilet you can write red mug in your list... because necessity is not only the important thing in shopping... but there are many things which are enjoyable too!

Next comes the budgets ... First check into your husband's pocket and also into his bank balance.. If nothing much, Don't worry ... Anyways you are going to use his credit card (your husband's add on card) in many places.

For shopping you should not go alone.You should take a friend . Generally there are two kinds of people.

The first category of the people having very good interest in shopping.To buy a''Pavadai nada'' they used to travel all the way from Salem to pondy bazaar. The second category people very allergic to shopping they get tensed even if they see more than two shops in a street.

Your friend should be of first category. Both of you should be very flexible. You may have to bend, stretch, kneel or even crawl in few shopping areas ... So always keep yourself fit.

Choosing the shopping area is a very important. 
Don't choose ''All under one roof'' shop, because there are two disadvantages in this.One is there may be a chance of getting a puncture or even fracture to your purses owing to heavy cost. And the second thing is you won't get the pleasure of shopping. Suppose if you want to buy a pin then go to shop that are selling only pins. Don't go to shop which are selling pickles with pins.

Some of the shopping areas which I prefer to shop is General bazaar, Sultan bazaar, Begum bazaar, Chudi bazaar,.. all are in HYD. Pondy bazaar in CHN, Sarojini Marg in Delhi, MG road in BLR. I recommend my blog readers to visit these places and shop.

Generally the apt time for shopping is between 11 AM to 4 PM in the evening After my great research in shopping technology I am suggesting this time because the shopkeepers mentality in this time is to undergo any beram (bargain).

Always take a bottle of orange juice or glucose which helps to gain good energy while shopping. Wear convenient dress.

Don't take your husband or children for shopping. After finishing your major shopping you can buy some of the minor items like tooth brush for your husband and pencils for kids.

Allotment of time in shopping is very important. Suppose if your total shopping time is 4 hours.. spend 3 hours in major shopping... 58 minutes in window shopping and 2 mins in minor shopping like the ones that I mentioned above.

Always try to collect the visiting card from shops which may help you to get deals next time. Keep all the bills safely.

POST SHOPPING CARE:

This is the very important thing which make u to escape from husband's archanai after coming home. After returning from shopping have a fresh bath and sometimes apply a face pack to give you a glowing look.Never show the shopping tiredness in your face. Never tell your husband.

ஆவக்காய்.....காரமும் ஓர் அன்பு

அது 2001 வருடத்தின்பிற் பகுதி. கணவரின் வேலை நிமித்தமாக கைக்குழந்தையுடன் ஹைதராபாத் நகருக்கு ஒரு அப்பார்ட்மென்டில் குடிவந்தோம். கலாச்சாரம் புதிது..புரிந்தும் புரியாத மொழி..நாங்கள் குடியேறிய குடியுருப்பு கூடிவாழ்ந்தால் கோடி நன்மை என்று கொள்கை கொண்டிருந்தது.

அது ஒரு இனிய வெயில் காலத்தின்  துவக்கம். எங்கள் குடியிருப்பில் ஆவக்காய் போடுவது என்று முடிவு செய்தார்கள்...
மாங்கனிக்கு பெயர் போன ஊரிலிருந்து வந்ததால் எனக்கும் ஆவக்காய் மீது ஆவல்..எல்லோரும்    கூடினார்கள்..வாங்கி வெட்டி என்ற சொற்களை பயன்படுத்தினார்கள். இவர்கள் பேச்சில் ஆவக்காய் சைவமா என்று சந்தேகம்.."ஆடு தொடா" சுத்த சைவம் நான். பக்கத்தில் இருப்பவரிடம் சற்றே நெளிந்து விளக்கம் கேட்டேன். தெலுங்கில் ஆவாலு என்றால்

கடுகு. மாங்காயுடன் கடுகு பொடி சேர்ப்பது என்ற விளக்கம் பெற்றேன்.

கூடிய கூட்டத்தைப்பார்த்தால் முன் அனுபவம் இருந்தால் தான் கூட்டணியில் இடம் கிடைக்கும் என நினைத்தேன்.
எங்கள் வீட்டில் மாவடு ஊறுகாய் போடும் வரலாற்றை கூறி என் தாத்தா மாவடு போடுவதில் வடு காணா வல்லவர் என்று ஆர்வமாக சொன்னேன். என்னையும் கூட்டணியில் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.
கோஷ்டிப்பூசல் இல்லாத அணி என்பதால் கூட்டணிக்கு அனுபவம் மிகுந்த பெண்மணி ஒருமனதாக தலைவரானார்.

எவ்வளவு கிலோ காய்,காரம்,வாங்கும் இடம் அவ்வளவு நேர்த்தியாக எழுதப்பட்டது. இந்த  இடம் பொருள் ஏவல்..இதை நானும் குறித்துக்கொண்டேன்.
என் குழந்தையைப்பார்த்துக்கொள்ள இரண்டு பெண்கள் ஆர்வமாக வந்தார்கள்..அவர்களுக்கு "பேபி சிட்டிங்" கைவந்த கலை என்றார்கள்.

நானும் கூட்டணியில் ஐக்கியமாகி கிளம்பி விட்டேன்..
எல்லோரும் சேர்ந்து சென்றதால் ஷேர் ஆட்டோ ஓர் ஆட்டோ ஆகியிருந்தது.

கடைவீதிக்கு சென்ற பிறகு தான்  தெரிந்தது..எங்களை போல் நிறைய பேர் வண்டி கட்டி வந்திருந்தார்கள்.
அப்போதுதான் மூட்டைகளில் மாங்காய் இறக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். தரம் பிரித்து தேர்ந்தெடுத்து ஒரே அளவாக வெட்டி தர வேண்டும் என விற்பவர்க்கு ஆணை பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டது. என் தகுதிகேற்ப மேற்பார்வை பணி வழங்கப்பட்டது. காய் வாங்கிய பின் அவற்றிற்கேற்ப இடு பொருட்கள் வாங்கப்பட்டது. எங்கள் வணிக நேரம் 5 மணிநேரம் நீடித்தது.

ஆவக்காய் மோகத்தில் மதிய சாப்பாட்டை மறந்திருந்தேன். வீட்டிற்கு வந்ததும் தான் நினைவுக்கு வந்தது. என் குழந்தை நன்றாக விளையாடி உண்டு  உறங்கியிருந்தாள்.இவளுக்கு "ஆவக்காய் பிராசனம்" செய்ய வேண்டும்..மதிய உணவு அனைவருக்கும் பொதுவாக பரிமாறப்பட்டது..
சிறிது நேரம் ஓய்வுக்குப்பின் மீண்டும் மாலையில் அனைவரும் ஆஜர்..

அபார்ட்மென்ட் பெரிய வராண்டாவில் அனைத்தும் கொட்டி சுத்தம் செய்யப்பட்டது. மாங்காய் துண்டுகளை சுத்தமான துண்டினால் துடைக்க சொன்னார்கள். அடிப்படை விதி ஒன்று.."காரமும் ஈரமும் "சேரக்கூடாது. எல்லோரும் செய்ததால் விரைவில் முடிந்தது.
பிறகு முக்கியமான பகுதி எல்லாவற்றையும் பக்குவமாக கலக்கவேண்டும். பெரிய அன்னக்கூடைகள் ஆவக்காய் கூடைகளாக மாறியிருந்தன.
அனுபவமிக்க கை அனைத்து இடு பொருட்களும் இட்டு கலக்க தயாராக இருந்தார்.
ஊறுகாய் கலப்பதற்கு வேறு கை கூடாது என்ற விதி அமலுக்கு வந்தது. பக்குவமாக
கலந்து வைத்த அனைத்தும்
அருமையாக காற்று புகாதவாறு துணியினால் கட்டப்பட்டது..
அடுத்த நாள் காலை மீண்டும் வரவேண்டும் என்று அன்பு கட்டளை இட்டார்கள்..கனவில் ஆவக்காய் ஆவியாவது போல் வந்தது.
அடுத்த நாள் காலை ஆறுபேர் கொண்ட குழு ஒன்று வந்தது. பெரிய எடை கருவி  மற்றும் பல டப்பாக்கள் பைகள் கொண்டு வந்து இருந்தனர். ஊறுகாய் பாக்கிங் செய்து கூரியர் மூலம் அனுப்புபவர்கள்..
பெரும்பாலனவர்கள் வீட்டில் வெளிநாட்டில் வேலை செய்யும் மகன்கள் மகள்கள் உற்றார் உறவினர்கள் இருந்தார்கள். இவர்களுடைய லிஸ்ட் அச்சடித்து இருந்தது. இரவு ஷிப்டில் இந்த ஸ்லீப்பர் செல் வேலையை செய்து இருந்தார்கள்.
முதலில் நாடு வாரியாக மாகாணம் வாரியாக பிரித்து அத்தனையும் பாக்கிங் செய்து அத்துடன் இணைப்பு பொடிகள் அழகான இணைப்புடன் தயாராகியது. எனக்கு ஒரு வெளிநாட்டு ஏற்றுமதி நிறுவனத்தில் வேலை செய்வது போல் உணர்வு. அன்னக்கூடைகள் காலியாக தொடங்கியது.

பாரதி இருந்திருந்தால் "அந்நிய நாட்டிற்கு ஆவக்காய் அனுப்பி ஓர் மென்பொருள் மாறுகொள்வோம்'' என்று எழுதியிருப்பார்.

வெளிநாட்டு பிரிப்பு முடிந்ததும் உள்குடியிருப்பு பிரிப்பு துவங்கியது. வலுவான கூட்டணி என்பதால் பிரிப்பதில் எந்த சச்சரவும் இல்லை. எனக்கு தேவைக்கு அதிகமாகவே கொடுத்தார்கள். இலவச இணைப்பாக பருப்பு பொடியும் கொடுத்தார்கள். மீண்டும் சாப்பிட கூப்பிட்டார்கள். நேரம் தவறாமல் சாப்பிட கூப்பிட்டது சந்தோஷமாக இருந்தது.

இந்த மெனுவில் ஊறுகாய் சாதம் பருப்பு பொடி நெய் அனைத்தும் இணைந்து...அனைவருக்கும் ஒருவரே சாதம் பிசைந்து கையில் ஊட்டி வயிறார உண்ண சொன்னார்..
ஆவக்காய் காரம்..கண்ணிலிருந்து காரக்கண்ணீர் அவர்கள் காட்டிய அன்பில் ஆனந்த கண்ணீராக உருகியது..
